Shelter Manager, Velma Clark and Scott Weicker.Andy Reid and daughter Sarah.Executive Director Rafael Pagan chats with Joe Nunn from UBS and Guest.
Guests gathered to honor Carol and Bruce Dixon, volunteers who have cooked and served dinner at the Shelter on a monthly basis for fifteen years, as well as their colleagues from the Second Congregational Church of Greenwich who prepare and serve diner one night a month- and have done so for fifteen year as well.

The Shelter for the Homeless proudly honored UBS for the generosity and spirit of caring they have extended to hundreds of homeless people for many years. Not only has UBS provided significant financial support; its employees have followed their company’s lead and served in volunteer leadership roles and as meal servers on a regular basis. The evening provided an opportunity for all to salute UBS and its employees for their exceptional commitment to the Shelter and to the entire Stamford Community.

“And a good time was had by all!”

Our sincere thanks to all who supported our 2009 Rays of Hope Gala on May 6, 2009.

The Italian Center was filled with extraordinary spirit, the camaraderie of new and old friends, a beautiful rendition of amazing Grace by Shelter for the Homeless case manager, Miriam Pacheco and an inspiring life story related by a former Shelter resident Aaron Moye.
Joseph Nunn
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal congratulated the honorees and the Shelter Community for their dedication to serving the homeless.
